About the Home Row Launchpad unit
The home row is where every typing journey starts. Fingers rest on A S D F and J K L ; and the little bumps on F and J let kids find home without looking. Lessons in this unit add two keys at a time, so small hands can build muscle memory before reaching anywhere else.
How to reach the new keys
- G is on the home row. Stretch your left pointer finger sideways from F, press G, then slide back.
- H is on the home row. Stretch your right pointer finger sideways from J, press H, then slide back.
