About the Home Row Launchpad unit
The home row is where every typing journey starts. Fingers rest on A S D F and J K L ; and the little bumps on F and J let kids find home without looking. Lessons in this unit add two keys at a time, so small hands can build muscle memory before reaching anywhere else.
How to reach the new keys
- A is a home key. Your left pinky rests on it all the time.
- The ; key is a home key. Your right pinky rests on it all the time.
Real words you can type after this lesson: a, as, ad, add, ads, all, ask, asks, dad, dads, sad, lad, lads, fall.
