How It Works for Parents
Everything you need to know in two minutes.
1. Add a profile for each kid
Click the profile button at the top of any page. A first name or nickname and an avatar is all it takes. Profiles live only in this browser.
2. Kids follow the mission map
The mission map has 60 short lessons in 11 units. The on-screen keyboard lights up the next key and the correct finger. Each lesson unlocks after 90% accuracy on the one before.
3. Stars, sounds and badges keep kids going
⭐ 90% accuracy · ⭐⭐ 94% plus a speed goal · ⭐⭐⭐ 97% plus a higher speed goal. There are 16 badges, daily streaks and confetti. Sounds can be muted with the 🔊 button.
4. Check the dashboard once a week
The Parent Dashboard shows lessons passed, average and best WPM, accuracy, minutes practiced, the "keys to practice" list, badges and recent activity.
5. Grown-up settings
In the dashboard settings you can unlock every lesson for kids who already know some keys, mute sounds, rename or delete a profile, and download progress.
Privacy
Kids never make accounts or give an email. On the free plan nothing is sent to our servers. With Family Pro, a grown-up signs in and nicknames plus progress sync to your account so you can use them on any device. See our privacy policy.
