Meaning and fun facts
Bob Bemer added the backslash to computer keyboards in 1960. It is not used in normal writing, so if you see one in a sentence, it is probably a typo!

- Windows folders: C:\Users
- Code: \n means "new line"
Fun example: C:\Games\TypeRockets
Typing tip
The backslash leans back: \. It shows up in Windows file paths like C:\Users. Its key is above Enter on most US keyboards, a long stretch for the right pinky.
